Enjoy the evening at your leisure.

Walking / Dinner in the Lakeside Restaurant

Our Hospitality Team will advise you on the many lovely walks near Lough Eske and the Blue Stack Mountains. You can pick up a booklet with maps and helpful hints. Our Chef will prepare a Picnic Basket if you wish. In the evening, a table will be reserved for you to experience the culinary delights on offer, with an excellent menu featuring the best of local produce. View Menu

Killybegs / Slieve League / Ardara

Day 3 – Tuesday

Following a hearty breakfast, take a drive along the coast to Killybegs, Ireland’s largest fishing port. Maybe stop for a photo opportunity in front of the harbour. Continue towards Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe. There you will be entralled by the majestic, rugged beauty , with  a viewing deck and some  paths to walk at an easy pace. If you brought your walking boots with you, you can do a proper hike in one of Irelands most beautiful scenic spots.. This is not for the faint hearted and it’s advisable to do this walk with a trained guide and to make sure that the weather is favourable. Either way, this iconic attraction is a must see. Described as ‘more dramatic than the Cliffs of Moher but without the tour buses’! We recommend taking a different road back through Glengesh Pass and into Ardara where a stop at Nancy’s famous Irish pub is well worth a visit. Their Guinness and seafood chowder is legendary. Return to Harvey’s Point to relax and perhaps have a wee bite in Harvey’s Bar.

Glenveagh National Park / Dinner Cabaret

Day 4 – Wednesday

This is a day of culture and history in Glenveagh National Park, which is  a remote and hauntingly beautiful wilderness in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains. Take a guided tour of the castle and wander around the magnificent themed gardens and rich collection of trees and shrubs. Later in the evening, get dressed up for Harvey’s Point Dinner Cabaret – a feast of fine food, music, song and dance. Hosted by Noel, our General Manager this promises to be a night to remember and the highlight of your holiday (June 28th – October 25th).

Donegal Town / Wine Tasting / Cookery Demonstration / Dinner in the Lakeside Restaurant

Day 5 – Thursday

Just a short drive from Harvey’s Point, spend the morning in the picturesque Donegal Town. It’s a lively spot with locals and tourists mingling together. We highly recommend a visit to the Magee of Donegal store. World famous for handwoven tweed and elegant ladies and gents clothing, Magee is the ‘Brown Thomas’ of Donegal Town. Other attractions include Donegal Bay Waterbus, Donegal Castle and the Craft Village. Return ‘Home’ to Harvey’s Point to join Restaurant Manager and Sommelier, Orhan for wine tasting. This is a great opportunity to sample some great wines from around the world and have fun at the same time. You are also most welcome to attend the cookery demonstration, presented with flair and creativity by one of our Award Winning Chefs. We will serve you a delicious dinner to round off what we trust has been a wonderful week in Donegal.

Day 6 – Friday

Following breakfast and check-out, we will send you on your way with some light refreshments as we bid you a fond farewell. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again to your ‘Home’ @ Harvey’s Point.
