Recently named by National Geographic as “the coolest place on the planet”, we are now spreading the word that Donegal is “hot” for food! In the past, a typical Donegal dish consisted of a mountain of spuds, a slab of meat and a tricolour of veg but there is a new wave of cuisine sweeping along the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way right into inland pockets of foodie havens in Donegal. Artisan food production is on the increase and world-class home-grown culinary talent can now be found the length and breadth of the county.
Food has always been our ‘raison d’etre’ at Harvey’s Point. Exploring the best in local and seasonal food and drink, the food trail involves a visit to a master bakery, a craft brewery and a fishing trip on Donegal Bay. There will be cookery demonstrations, foodie discussions, wine tasting and three different dining options to enjoy at Harvey’s Point. As the saying goes: “Eat, Drink and Be Merry.”
