Full Itinerary

Day 1:

Hills of Donegal via Belfast & Derry

Check-in 20 minutes prior to Train Departure at Connolly Station, Railtours Customer Services Desk. Our Representives will be in Bright Yellow Jackets.

Check-in Dublin Connolly Station for 07.35hrs departure of the newley refurbished Enterprise Express rail service to Belfast. There is a breakfast/snack car available on the train. Our Railtours Ireland Host, who travels with you to Belfast provides you with a full travel Itinerary and tickets for the next 3 days.

On arrival in Belfast you are free to explore this facilating city on a City Sightseeing open-top Bus. See close up the world famous political murals depicting “The Troubles” or visit Titanic Belfast, a monument to Belfast’s maritime heritage on the site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard where the RMS Titanic was built.

In the afternoon take the 15.10 (3.10pm) train from Belfast, Great Victoria Station, to Derry City on the banks of the River Foyle. Enjoy one of the great rail journies of Ireland as your train passes along the spetacular North Atlantic Coast from Colraine to Derry City. The journey takes just over 2 hours 15 minutes. Upon arrival in Derry Rail Station at 17.25hrs (5.25pm) you will be met by your driver and enjoy a private transfer across the border into Co. Donegal and on to the beautiful Lough Eske surrounded by the Hills of Donegal.

Day 2 :

Relax at Harvey’s Point amongst the Hills of Donegal

After a full Irish Breakfast, relax and enjoy the luxury of Harvery’s Point. Perhaps enjoy a cooking demonstration, wine tasting (Tuesdays & Thursdays). There are lots of lovely walks in the beautiful surroundings of the Blue Stack Mountains.

Enjoy evening dinner (Cabaret Dinner on Wednesday nights)

Day 3:

Slieve League Cliffs, W B Yeats graveside and train journey to Dublin

After breakfast and check out you will enjoy a tour to Slieve League, Ireland’s highest cliffs, on the Wild Atlantic Way. We continue along the Donegal coastline, stopping for a short visit at the graveside of William Butler Yeats at Drumcliffe and onwards to Sligo town where we join our train for Dublin arriving Connolly Station, Dublin at 18.00 (6pm)
