Day 3 – Tuesday
Following a hearty breakfast, take a drive along the coast to Killybegs, Ireland’s largest fishing port. Maybe stop for a photo opportunity in front of the harbour. Continue towards Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe. There you will be entralled by the majestic, rugged beauty, with a viewing deck and some paths to walk at an easy pace. If you brought your walking boots with you, you can do a proper hike in one of Irelands most beautiful scenic spots. This is not for the faint hearted and it’s advisable to do this walk with a trained guide and to make sure that the weather is favourable.
Either way, this iconic attraction is a must see. Described as ‘more dramatic than the Cliffs of Moher but without the tour buses’! We recommend taking a different road back through Glengesh Pass and into Ardara where a stop at Nancy’s famous Irish pub is well worth a visit. Their Guinness and seafood chowder is legendary. Return to Harvey’s Point to relax and perhaps have a wee bite in Harvey’s Bar.
